The resort offers breathtaking views of Lake Geneva! Step out onto your balcony to soak it all in, or enjoy brisk walks and morning coffee right by the water. We love how close everything feels to the lake when staying here.
Escape for the perfect spa and wellness retreat
The pool areas are a welcome escape during the cold winter months. There’s the main pool, which is great for kids and adults, especially considering the relaxing hot tub. There’s also a pool for 18+, and a full-service spa, so if a weekend full of treatments sounds like bliss, we suggest going for a wellness retreat. If you’re looking for a reset, this resort is a great choice for a weekend with your closest friends to recharge with massages or luxe body treatments.
Enjoy plenty of seasonal activities & events
Whether it’s enjoying the endless winter activities or attending live events, there’s always something happening at the resort. In the winter, cozy up by the fireplace while reading a good book or make S’mores outdoors and sip hot cider with the family. You can even enjoy ice skating at the resort’s miniature rink, which was one of our favorite things to do white visiting.
Spend hours in the game room and movie theater
When it’s time for some indoor fun, the resort doesn’t disappoint. The game room is packed with activities for all ages, from classic arcade games to billiards and even air hockey. For a cozier night in, the movie theater makes it so you can catch your favorite films, all without leaving the warmth and comfort of the resort.
The dining & culinary experiences are top-notch
The Abbey Resort has multiple dining options, from a casual lakeside option to fine dining. Don’t miss having dinner at the resort’s luxurious restaurant 240° West, overlooking the harbour. It’s the perfect spot to cozy up with family or the spot to have a romantic date over a delicious meal and craft cocktails. A few dishes we loved while visiting were the Braised Short Rib and Lobster Farfalle.
As for events, the resort is hosting a one-night culinary event benefiting the James Beard Foundation, featuring celebrity chef Fabio Viviani alongside the resort’s executive chef for an exclusive four-course dinner with wine pairings on January 31. The weekend also includes a VIP champagne brunch the next morning, perfect for continuing the celebration well into the new year!
