How amazing would it be to spend a quality vacation in ABC islands, one of the Caribbean’s best kept secrets? We were lucky enough to indulge in this very getaway during winter break! On the secluded island of Curaçao, we have just the spot for that perfect getaway. There are two very unique resorts that are worth the trip alone, one is in the city called Hotel Kurá Hulanda Spa and Casino (where we stayed) and another near the beach called Lodge Kurá Hulanda & Beach Club.
Hotel Kura Hulanda was one of the most beautiful boutique hotels we have ever stayed at. It’s not very often that a hotel comes along and is so unique your entire vacation experience begins there. This was one of those hotels. There are unique hand-carved furnishings of antiques and art that occupies each room and luxury accommodations. There are also modern touches of flat screen televisions and high speed wireless internet. But, what we loved most, was the village complex that spanned 8-blocks. We loved walking through the cobblestone streets and finding treasure and preserved treasure of seating areas, art work, private swimming pools, restaurants and secret gardens.
Not only do you have access to all of this while staying there, you can also visit the Lodge Kurá Hulanda & Beach Club. Here, vacationers can enjoy their stay while absorbing the sun’s rays and splashing in the cool waters. There is a dive shop, fitness center, tennis courts, riding and hiking hills, and three restaurants overlooking the sea view. The accommodations at the lodge seems a bit more daring as the guest rooms and suites are located on rugged cliffs eight to nine meters high. Rooms have Egyptian cotton sheets, comforters, high speed wireless internet, and even a kitchen. Restaurants and bars are all in open areas and guests may want to register for an all inclusive program which includes three daily meals, beverages, activity programs, non-motorized water sports, and weekly themed parties. Overall, the lodge is more relaxing being beside the sea and the hotel is a perfect place for vacationers who want to experience more of the culture of Curaçao.
