Le Petit Chef

Le Petit Chef takes you on a gastronomic adventure mixing a mesmerizing virtual reality theatrical experience with sophisticated meal pairings at Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park’s Cuvée Room. General Manager, Clay Spencer, shared, “We’re delighted for diners to experience this culinary adventure through animation. It is a dinner like no other.”

Without equipment or glasses, prepare for a tiny chef to stand before you, thanks to 3D projection mapping. At only 2 ½ inches tall, the French chef takes you through five delicious courses with a delightful tasting menu, alongside Sommelier curated wine pairings of delicious French wines, starting with Côté Mas Brut Rosé upon arrival.

Throughout the 90-minute dining experience, we enjoyed exquisitely sophisticated courses. For the 1st course, we enjoyed a colorful storyline that took over the table as we indulged in a fresh tomato with raw, pickled, compressed green tea gel, baby herbs, and whipped feta. The second course featured carrots which were salt roasted with quinoa granola, mandarin, baby greens, and carrots topped with pesto.

The chicken course featured a kaleidoscope of flavors! It was wrapped in bacon and highlighted pickled shimeji mushrooms, charred haricot verts, potato puree, and wild cranberry jus. The fourth beef course had an interesting mix of flavors, including butter-poached spinach, mustard seeds, caramelized onion, and beets, and topped with our favorite part of this dish—bittersweet chocolate.
